The strike by the Israeli armed forces on Al-Tabi'in school in Gaza, which killed over 100 people, has no excuse. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell.
„I was appalled by the Israeli strike on a school shelter in Gaza, which reportedly left dozens dead. At least 10 schools have been attacked in recent weeks. There is no justification for this massacre. “We are shocked by the appalling death toll,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
In turn, Israel said the targets of the strike were senior Hamas commanders who used a compound in Gaza in civilian territory, which also has school and mosque.
As reported by Palestinian sources, as a result of this attack, more than 100 people were killed, dozens were injured and they were under the rubble of a destroyed building. Among the victims are many children and women.
