French film star Alain Delon has died at 88.
The actor was a star of the golden age of French cinema, known for his tough screen persona in hits including “Samurai” and “Borsalino“.
„He passed away peacefully at his home in Duchy, surrounded by his three children and family," said in a statement released to the AFP news agency, adding that the family had requested privacy.
