US Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her Republican opponent Donald Trump are tied in seven key states that are likely to determine the outcome of this year's presidential election, Reuters reported, citing a Wall Street Journal survey. BTA.
The survey gives Harris a narrow lead of 2 percentage points in Arizona, Georgia and Michigan, to Trump's 6 points in Nevada and 1 in Pennsylvania. The two are tied in North Carolina and Wisconsin.
Voters in the seven states see Trump as better prepared to tackle the economy and illegal immigration, but are split on whether he should run the country.
The survey is based on the responses of 600 registered voters in each state given between September 28 and October 8, and the margin of error in each state is 4 percentage points.
Another Reuters/Ipsos poll this week also showed Trump and Harris virtually tied in the US, with the vice president leading 46 percent to 43 percent.
