Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz reiterated today that the Jewish state considers UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres persona non grata because he did not condemn Iran's missile attack on Israeli territory and because of, he said, his anti-Semitic and anti-Israel behavior, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.
On October 2, Katz said he was banning Guterres from entering the country because he had not “unequivocally“ condemned the missile attack (of Tehran).
Iran fired more than 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on October 1 amid escalating fighting in Lebanon between Israel and the Islamic Republic's proxy group “Hezbollah”.
Many of the rockets were intercepted by Israeli air defenses, but some made it past the anti-missile shield.
