The Shiite organization Hezbollah announced a new phase in its confrontation with Israel, its Telegram channel reported.

It is noted that the organization “has entered a new and escalating stage of confrontation with the Israeli enemy, which will become clear in the coming days”.

Earlier in its communique, the movement said that since the beginning of October, during clashes in Lebanon, Shiite fighters have killed at least 55 Israeli soldiers and officers, injured more than 500, destroyed 20 Merkava tanks, several armored vehicles and armored personnel carriers, two Hermez 450 drones were downed. The message also mentions that “several hundred resistance fighters are ready to repel a large-scale incursion of enemy forces”.

„The enemy has concentrated 5 divisions, more than 70 thousand military personnel, hundreds of tanks and military equipment in the area of the Lebanese-Israeli border”, the text notes.

According to the movement, fighting is currently taking place in seven sectors of the front near the villages of Ait al-Shaab, Blida, Markaba, Rab-Taliatin, Ramiya, El-Kuzah and El-Edeisa. The resistance fighters “act according to a pre-developed plan, luring the enemy into an ambush and firing at moving columns”. On Thursday alone, the enemy forces lost 10 soldiers killed and over 150 wounded, 9 tanks and 4 military bulldozers were destroyed.

The Islamic Resistance warns that its hand is capable of reaching anywhere in Israeli territory and its military actions “will not be limited to rocket strikes and drone attacks”.

On September 23, Israel launched operation “Arrows of the North“ against Hezbollah forces in Lebanon, during which it carried out massive strikes on the movement's military targets. The stated goal is to create safe conditions in the northern border areas of the Jewish state so that tens of thousands of residents can return there. As a result of one of the Israeli strikes on September 27, Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrullah was killed in Beirut. On the night of October 1, the Israeli army announced a ground operation in the border areas of southern Lebanon.
