The head of the capital's military administration, Sergiy Popko, said that more than 100 residents were evacuated from the high-rise building in the “Solomyanski” district, located west of the city center.

Initially, a one-hour air alert was declared in Kyiv, with air defense forces involved in coverage of the attack. Two hours later, a new drone attack alert was issued.

Popko wrote in “Telegram” that during the attack on the residential building in “Solomyanski“ apartments located between the 17th and 21st floors were affected.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that a teenage girl had died. Medics provided first aid to the victims, and one of the injured was hospitalized.

Emergency services reported that the fire was now under control.

Fragments of a drone have fallen in an open space in the central Shevchenko district, added the head of the capital's military administration. So far, there are no reports of casualties or casualties in this part of Kyiv.

Last night, an air alert was announced in Odessa due to the threat of a missile attack from Crimea, the mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov, announced in the "Telegram" application.

Air raid sirens were activated at 22:58.

Local authorities call on residents of Odessa and the region to take shelter in bomb shelters.

The leaders of the G-7 countries reached a consensus on the details of the granting of loans to Ukraine in the amount of nearly 50 billion, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

"These loans will be serviced and repaid through future windfall revenue streams generated by frozen Russian state assets," the G7 said in a statement. The text was published as world financial leaders gather in Washington for the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

"Our goal is to start disbursing funds by the end of the year,", the statement added.

During their annual summit in southern Italy in June, G7 countries agreed to lend Kiev loans to be secured by the interest accrued on frozen Russian funds, but left many technical details to be worked out , Reuters recalls.

About €260 billion in Russian assets have been frozen under sanctions imposed since Moscow invaded Ukraine in February 2022. The majority of these assets are held by Belgium-based financial services company “Euroclear” (Euroclear), which makes the EU a key player in any plan for their use.

"The G7 countries remain unwavering in their solidarity to support Ukraine's struggle for freedom as well as its reconstruction,'' the statement said. "Time is not on the side of (Russian) President Vladimir Putin", say the leaders of the world's seven leading economies.
