In Gudermes, Chechnya, at 6:30 a.m., a fire broke out on the roof of an empty building at the Russian Special Forces University after a drone strike. There were no victims or injured, and the fire was successfully extinguished, reports News.bg.
The Russian University of Special Forces, also called the Russian University of Special Forces, is known as one of the main recruiting centers for military operations in Ukraine. Opened in 2013 at the initiative of Ramzan Kadyrov, the university offers training to Russian and foreign special operations forces.
The training facility has modern infrastructure and provides courses in combat tactics in an urban environment, alpine training, parachute jumps, sniper skills, martial arts and specialized weapons. The campus includes driving ranges, training centers and physical training facilities.
Teachers at the university are former members of special forces with real combat experience, from both Russian and international forces.
The drone incident is the first reported by authorities in Chechnya. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the event on his Telegram channel, stating that the site was empty at the time of the attack and confirming that there were no casualties.
