Units of the Ukrainian air defense are trying to repel an air attack on Kiev, it said late last night on its channel in the application "Telegram" the mayor of the capital of Ukraine Vitaliy Klitschko, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

"There was an explosion on the outskirts of Kiev," wrote the former world champion in professional boxing in the super heavyweight category.

"Air defense forces are operating in the capital and its surroundings," Klitschko added, urging citizens: "Stay in shelters!"

Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets called on Russia to present a list of Ukrainian prisoners of war held by its army, which it is ready to exchange for its soldiers in Ukrainian captivity, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, adding that this statement comes after Russian accusations that Kiev is sabotaging the exchanges.

"I would like to receive from the Commissioner for Human Rights of Russia a list of Ukrainian prisoners of war that the Russian Federation is ready to release immediately" wrote the Ukrainian ombudsman on his channel in the "Telegram" application.

"We are always ready to exchange prisoners of war,", Lubinets also stated.

Russia has attacked Ukraine with over 2,000 Iranian drones "Shaheed" last month, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in his traditional evening video address to the nation last night, adding that this happened "literally every day,", reported Ukrinform, quoted by BTA.

"Tonight, above all else, our gratitude is for our warriors. To all those who defend Ukraine from the daily drone attacks "Shaheed" and with rockets. Russia is gradually increasing its activity along this line," he said.

Zelensky noted that in October over 2,000 Shahed drones were directed against Ukraine, "against the people of Ukraine".

"This number means more than 170,000 components whose delivery to Russia should be stopped. These are microchips, microsensors, processors, many different parts, without which this terror would simply be impossible. All this was delivered to Russia from outside," the Ukrainian head of state said.

He stated that, in his opinion, it is a question, unfortunately, of supplies from China, Europe, America - a number of small contributions to the constant Russian terror.

"Sanctions must increase and must be effective. Any scheme that circumvents sanctions is a crime," the president of Ukraine also said.
