Above 75 million Americans voted early in the November 5 US presidential election, according to data released Saturday night by Florida State University.

According to his calculations, 75,093,872 US residents exercised their right to early voting. More than 40.7 million of them voted in person at polling stations, and approximately 34.4 million voted by mail.

The number of registered voters in the United States is about 168 million people.

US Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the Democratic presidential candidate in Tuesday's election, flew out of the blue to New York for an appearance tonight US time on the comedy TV show "Saturday Night Live” (Saturday Night Live) on NBC television, the American "New York Post" reported, quoted by Reuters and BTA.

Harris' campaign headquarters declined to confirm whether she was headed to New York instead of her planned visit to Detroit. Previously, the vice presidential plane "Air Force 2" with Harris landed in the state of North Carolina and the Democratic contender for the White House got off near the plane of her opponent from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, noted Reuters.

The incident is an illustration of the concentration of opponents on a few states that would decide the outcome of Tuesday's election, the agency said.

This is the fourth day in a row that Harris and Trump have campaign appearances in the same US state. According to the polls, the outcome of the race between the two is unclear in only seven states.

Rock star Bon Jovi joined Kamala Harris' campaign rally in Charlotte, while Trump held a rally in the suburb of Gastonia. Reuters said it was unclear whether he was on his plane when Harris got off hers at Douglas Airport.

The two touched on similar topics in their speeches. Trump has said he will deport millions of immigrants from the US if he is re-elected president, and warned that if he wins, "every city in America will become a dangerous refugee camp".

At a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, Harris said Trump would abuse his power if he returned to the White House.

"This is a man who is becoming increasingly unstable, obsessed with a thirst for revenge, steeped in self-pity and ready to exercise unchecked power," she said.
