Erdogan called on the Turkish world to stop the massacre in Gaza - 1

The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, today called for the "unity and decisive position of the Turkish countries to stop the “slaughter”, that Israel is carrying out in the Gaza Strip," Turkish media reported, quoted by BTA.

The international community is seriously failing in efforts “to stop the genocide that is taking place in the occupied Palestinian territories, especially in Gaza”, Erdogan said at the 11th summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS ) in Bishkek, informs the electronic publication of the city of "Sabah".

Turkey does not accept this atrocity and massacre in Gaza, Erdogan said, and called on the Turkic world to take a “decisive stand on this issue”. The president also spoke about a number of issues, including the war between Russia and Ukraine.

Turkey supports efforts to ensure a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, Erdogan said. The war in Ukraine has been going on for three years now and continues to have negative consequences, he added. The Turkish president also expressed hope for the recent acceptance of the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC, recognized only by Ankara) into the Organization of Turkic States. Members of the Organization of Turkic States are Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan, Hungary and the so-called Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have the status of observer countries.
