Zakharova: The monstrous propaganda of the West led to the situation in Ukraine - 1

The monstrous Western propaganda blocks the possibility for the public and politicians to receive true information about what is happening around Ukraine and make the right decisions, which in turn led to the conflict. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, at the first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum.

„There is another very important connection, without which such a development of events (aggravation of relations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine) would not have happened. This is monstrous Western propaganda. It blocks the Western public from getting "first-hand" information. This blocks the ability of Western politicians to make sound decisions. It blocks the possibility not only of the West, but also of the world community as a whole to understand what is happening around Ukraine”, Zakharova said.

As the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted, this is not the first time this has happened. “A similar situation happened 85 years ago. Then, precisely because of Nazi propaganda, Europe and then the whole world was involved in a world war. What has just happened is that through the tools of Western propaganda, the bloody conflict in Ukraine was first unleashed. And everything was going to bring the world into this situation. In different ways – through sanctions policy, through destabilization of food security, through destruction of stable energy flows and energy interaction”, said Zakharova.

The first ministerial conference of the Russia-Africa Partnership Forum takes place on November 9-10 in the Sirius Federal Territory. About 1,500 delegates are attending the event, including more than 40 ministers from the African continent.
