Ukraine is fighting for the liberation of all territories, captured by Russia over the past decade, and any claim that the country is changing its focus in the war to prioritize security over preserving its territorial integrity is false, Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem said today Umerov, quoted by Reuters, quoted by BTA.
"Territorial integrity is part of our values", Umerov said at a joint press conference with his Norwegian counterpart Björn Arild Gram in Oslo.
Asked about reports that Kiev is changing its focus in the war, Umerov said it was a lie and part of Russian propaganda.
"Our priority is still to protect the people, to protect the nation, to free the people from the almost 10-year temporary occupation so that Crimea and Donbass are part of Ukraine," the Ukrainian defense minister said. "All the people living in the territories held by Russia are waiting to be released," he added.
