This was stated in the bTV studio by former Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev. He congratulated the Ukrainian people for the bravery they demonstrate every day.
„This aggression started 1000 days ago with a Russian army of the order of 400 thousand. souls. This army no longer exists. Russia suffered huge losses in this operation, which was supposed to last several days – now there is no end in sight”, added Tagarev.
„Russian propaganda and Vladimir Putin personally will not miss this opportunity to sow fear again and try to sow division among the leaders of democratic countries and their societies. He greatly activated the nuclear rhetoric, even when Zelensky raised the issue openly. Even then, Putin and everyone in his circle launched the thesis that they would revise the nuclear doctrine, he explained.
„Today he again confirmed the changes in Russia's nuclear doctrine. But we must not forget that Russia is the aggressor in this conflict. Russia has received hundreds of ballistic missiles, thousands of drones, millions of artillery shells from North Korea and Iran. There are over 10,000 North Korean troops in this conflict already fighting against Ukraine. The former defense minister believes that even if Russia and Ukraine sit down at the negotiating table – a truce cannot be reached.
„Russia has not given up its goals, and Ukraine seeks to preserve its independence and liberate its territories whenever possible. At the moment, both sides believe they can achieve more with military means, he said.
