The American aerospace company "Maxar Technologies" (Maxar Technologies) announced that it has banned Ukraine's access to its satellite images, as the government of US President Donald Trump has suspended the exchange of intelligence data with Kiev, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

The company said that it has contracts with the US government and dozens of allied and partner countries and "each customer makes its own decisions on how to use and share this data". The company emphasized that one of these contracts is the GEGD (Global Enhanced GEOINT Delivery program) - a US government program that provides access to commercial satellite imagery collected by the US.

"The US government has decided to temporarily suspend Ukrainian accounts for access to GEGD", said a statement from "Maxar Technologies". "We take our contractual commitments very seriously and there is no change in the company's other client programs," the text also states.

On Wednesday, the director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe said that Washington had suspended the exchange of intelligence information with Ukraine, thereby putting pressure on the government of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to cooperate with the Trump administration in convening peace talks with Russia.
