Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski did not ruled out the possibility of closing all Russian consulates in the country, once again accusing Russia of "sabotages and provocations in Europe". According to the Polish media, he stated this at a press conference.
"I have closed the consulate of Russia in Poznan, if they do not stop the acts of sabotage and provocations, we will close the others as well," said the foreign minister.
The Russian consulate in Poznan was closed at the end of October. Sikorski called the reason for this decision a "hybrid war" that Russia is waging against Poland. Poland's decision comes just a day after several countries launched investigations into two separate incidents of downed telecommunications cables in the Baltic Sea - Finland, Germany, Sweden and Lithuania - and European countries accused Russia of escalating hybrid attacks.
Russian consulates continue to function in Gdansk and Krakow.
