Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called on his compatriots not to panic after a day of heightened tension in the country, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
Zelensky made the call amid the closure of several embassies in Kiev amid fears of an imminent threat of a major Russian airstrike.
We have a crazy neighbor. Today, on the 1001st day of full-scale war, Russia is just as deranged as it was on the 1000th day and on February 24th (2022 - note ed.). Today's information push, some panicked messages that were sent – all this only helps Russia", Zelensky said in his evening video address, quoted by Ukrinform.
Many people in Ukraine are increasingly concerned that Russia could escalate the war after Ukraine reportedly used long-range Western missiles to strike Russian territory, DPA noted.
