Canada has announced that the advanced surface-to-air missile system for air defense NASAMS (NASAMS) it purchased for Kiev will soon be in Ukraine , reported Ukrinform.
Canada's Defense Minister Bill Blair said this in Ottawa, the Ukrainian agency specifies.
"We are working closely with the Americans and the manufacturer Raytheon to assemble and deliver this system. She is currently in Poland and we will soon transfer her across the border," Blair said.
He added that Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had already informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a telephone conversation about the recent arrival of the NASAMS system in Ukraine.
