British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was asked today by a listener of a local BBC radio station in Bristol whether Britain is at war with Russia while answering questions from citizens.

"No, we are not at war, but Ukraine really is at war because Ukraine was invaded by Russia and that war has been going on for a little over 1,000 days," Starmer replied.

"This is 1,000 days of Russian aggression and 1,000 days of sacrifice for Ukraine, and that is why we constantly say that we support Ukraine. We cannot allow Putin to win this war," he continued.

Since Western countries began discussing easing restrictions on strikes with weapons supplied by them on recognized Russian territory, Russia, trying to influence their position, said it would make them complicit in the conflict.

On Thursday, after the first such strikes, Vladimir Putin declared that the conflict had become global and threatened strikes on the territory of NATO countries. Shortly before that, the Russian ambassador in London, in an interview with the British television channel Sky News, stated that Great Britain is directly involved in the war, because, according to him, it is impossible to use Storm Shadow missiles without the participation of its military.
