Source of Ukrainian security services told CNN that North Korean military advisers have already arrived in the Russian-occupied city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region.
According to the interlocutor of this media, the purpose of the trip of the North Korean military is still not clear, and they were dressed in Russian military uniforms.
The source specifies that the North Koreans who arrived in Mariupol are kept separate from the Russian military: they have their own barracks where food is delivered especially for them, special music is played there and special films are shown.
The CNN interlocutor also confirmed the reports of the Wall Street Journal that a general of the North Korean armed forces was injured in a Ukrainian missile attack on a command post in the Kursk region. However, the source said he did not know if the man had died or been injured.
Meanwhile, the Kharkiv operational group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted the reports of some Ukrainian military that there are also military personnel from the DPRK in the Kharkiv region.
The group writes on its Facebook page that such information does not correspond to reality, and the person who is its primary source is not authorized to comment on the operational situation.
Russia has sent about 10,000 North Korean troops into the war zone with Ukraine, according to Western and Ukrainian officials. Earlier it was reported that they are in the Kursk region, where the units of the Armed Forces entered.
