A shooting incident occurred near the Israeli embassy in the Jordanian capital, reported the Al Arabiya TV channel.

According to the media, the surrounding streets are blocked by the security forces. Ambulances are on their way to the scene. The TV channel, citing Jordanian media, also reported that authorities warned local residents to stay at home and close all windows.

Thousands of people demonstrated again yesterday in Israel demanding a deal for the release of those taken by the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" hostages, reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

There were demonstrations in Tel Aviv. Hundreds of people expressed their displeasure with the government, accusing it of unnecessarily prolonging the war in the Gaza Strip and putting at risk the lives of Israelis still held hostage by Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu relies on his far-right and ultra-religious coalition partners for his political survival, and these partners are against a deal with "Hamas", DPA notes.

Hundreds of people also demonstrated in Jerusalem demanding a deal with "Hamas".

Dozens of Israelis were taken hostage by "Hamas" in the unprecedented attack of the Palestinian movement against Israel on October 7 last year.
