A thirty-three-year-old man in Istanbul killed seven people, mostly members of his family, after which he committed suicide, Turkish media reported, quoted by BTA.
The murders took place within an hour and a half yesterday, during which the man went from house to house and eliminated his victims one by one, reports the private Turkish television station NTV.
The killer, identified as Bakhtiyar Aladag, initially killed his ten-year-old child, his wife and her mother, whom he found in a picnic area in Istanbul's Buyukcekmece district. Their bodies were only found today.
After that, the attacker headed for the four-story house, where his family lived on the first floor. There he successively shot his mother (55 years old), his father (65 years old) and his sister (30 years old). His parents died on the spot, and his sister was seriously injured and hospitalized.
The man continued his attacks, heading to a hair salon in the Avjalar district. There he opened fire, killing one of the officers and injuring two others.
His last target was his cousin, whom he shot dead in the Esenyurt district. After that, Bakhtiyar Aladag ended his life by committing suicide in his car.
