US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby announced during briefing that Ukraine has received permission to use US ATACMS ballistic missiles to strike Russian territory. This was reported by the publication "Ukrainska Pravda", cited by Focus.
Kirby specified that Washington has changed the guidelines for the use of the missiles, which allows the Ukrainian side to use them to hit certain targets:
"Ukrainians can now use American long-range missiles for self-defense in case of immediate danger. And it is clear that this is happening in the Kursk region."
The change in US policy comes in the context of an escalation in the region and an increase in attacks in border areas. The decision underscores Washington's commitment to assisting Ukraine in its response to Russian aggression.
