Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez announced an additional 2.3 billion euros in aid to rebuild Valencia after the deadliest floods in the country's modern history, reports "Reuters". This is in addition to the previously announced 14.36 billion euros intended for aid and recovery, quoted by News.bg.

On October 29, heavy rains caused flooding that engulfed the suburbs south of the regional capital, Valencia. More than 220 people died and five are still missing after the tragedy.

The aid will be aimed at rebuilding the infrastructure and supporting the affected areas, with the aim of quickly restoring normal life in the affected areas.
