Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has warned that the country could to find itself in an "intense war" if the truce with the Lebanese Shiite movement "Hezbollah", which came into force yesterday, is broken. This was reported by France Press, quoting Netanyahu's remarks in an interview with the Israeli media Channel 14, quoted by BTA.

"I have instructed the Israeli army to take intensive military action, if necessary, in the event of a ceasefire violation," the prime minister said.

Lebanon accused Israel of violating the ceasefire

The Lebanese army, for its part, has accused Israel of violating the truce several times since it came into effect, with air and ground attacks. According to a statement by the Lebanese army on the X social platform, Israel attacked Lebanese territory with various weapons. The Lebanese authorities specified that they are monitoring these violations in coordination with other competent authorities, but did not provide details.

Earlier today, the Israeli military announced that it had identified and destroyed a site used by "Hezbollah" for stockpiling rockets in southern Lebanon.

Benjamin Netanyahu also commented on the possibility of a deal for the release of Israelis held captive by the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip. According to the Israeli Prime Minister, the conditions for such a deal have significantly improved.
