The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) is detained eight people suspected of trying to sabotage the mobilization in the country, Ukrinform reported. The detainees encouraged evasion of military service and spread false information about the Ukrainian army, according to a statement in “Telegram“ the SBU channel, broadcasts BTA.
Attack in Kyiv
Among those detained is a resident of Kyiv who attacked representatives of the Territorial Mobilization Center (TMC) with a knife while they were posting a mobilization notice. Thanks to the quick response of military personnel and the police, he was immediately arrested.
Actions on social networks
- Kiev: Three channel administrators in “Telegram” have been detained. and groups on Viber that have been spreading the locations of mobilization centers and police offices in metropolitan areas.
- Poltava: A lawyer accused of obstructing the activity of TMC was arrested.
- Cherkassia Region: Two administrators of an anonymous group in “Messenger“ are detained for distributing coordinates of a mobile mobilization point.
- Rovno (Rivne): Administrator of “Viber“ group has published daily information on the location of military personnel, including mobilization centers.
Allegations
All those detained have been charged under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine related to sabotage and dissemination of classified information.
