Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Thursday that if the Lebanese group "Hezbollah" violates the agreement, there will be "intense war", reports The Times of Israel.
The prime minister said he had instructed the Israel Defense Forces that in the event of a "large-scale violation of the agreement", the response would extend beyond "surgical operations like we are doing now".
Meanwhile, a day after the ceasefire took effect, the Home Front Command lifted all restrictions on gatherings south of Haifa. Restrictions on the number of people on indoor and outdoor gatherings were introduced amid heavy rocket fire from Hezbollah.
Restrictions remain in various areas of northern Israel and schools will remain closed in northern border towns and the Golan Heights while Israel assesses the security situation.
On Thursday, the military carried out a series of strikes in Lebanon for the first time since the ceasefire began, saying they were provoked by ceasefire violations.
This includes a strike on an intermediate range missile facility of "Hezbollah" after identifying activity there and another against two "Hezbollah" operatives who entered a known rocket launch site in southern Lebanon.
The army also said it fired warning shots at several suspects entering restricted areas.
Meanwhile, it has become clear that thousands of civilians have returned to Lebanon from Syria, where they found salvation, even though both countries are at war.
