Russian warship in the Baltic Sea fired a signal missile at a German military helicopter, DPA reported, quoted by BTA.
The helicopter was on a reconnaissance mission.
German Foreign Minister Analena Berbock briefly reported on the incident on the sidelines of a meeting with her NATO colleagues in Brussels, without giving further details.
Berbok said it is a common practice for ships to enter the Baltic Sea to circumvent sanctions imposed on Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.
The use of flares is allowed only in emergency situations, DPA notes.
