The members of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) renewed today at a virtual meeting the mandate of the Secretary General of the group Haitham al-Ghais for another three years, Reuters reported, citing from BTA.
The Kuwaiti took over as head of the organization in August 2022. after the death of the then General Secretary Mohammad Barkindo.
The next regular meeting of the organization, where administrative decisions will be made, is scheduled for May 28.
