US President-elect Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian strikes with US missiles that reached deep into Russian territory, BTA reports.
In an interview with „Time“ magazine he expressed dissatisfaction with the use of weapons supplied by the US for such attacks, which attracted the attention of the Kremlin.
Moscow supports Trump's position
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Trump's words fully coincide with the Russian position on the issue.
According to Peskov, the opinions of the two sides on the reasons for the escalation of the conflict coincide, which is positive for Russia.
Criticism of the possible deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine
During the press conference, Peskov expressed reservations regarding discussions in Europe about the possible deployment of peacekeeping forces in Ukraine. He stressed that Russia is demanding peace, not just a ceasefire.
Support for Viktor Orban's proposals
Peskov also commented on Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban's statement on the exchange of prisoners of war between Russia and Ukraine. He confirmed that Russia has sent specific proposals to the Hungarian embassy in Moscow and supports Orban's efforts to carry out this exchange.
