Russia fired 93 missiles and used nearly 200 drones in one of its largest attacks on Ukraine this morning, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced, BTA reports.
According to him, some of the missiles, including at least one North Korean, were intercepted by Ukrainian air defenses, which managed to shoot down 81 missiles, including 11 cruise missiles stopped by F-16 fighters.
Strengthening the terrorist regime
Zelensky condemned Vladimir Putin's actions, accusing him of trying to terrorize the civilian population and "destroy everything" through these attacks. He emphasized that this is part of the Russian terror strategy with which Putin is trying to prepare the ground for "negotiations".
International response needed
The Ukrainian leader said that the international community must react decisively and meet the attack with a "massive response". According to Zelensky, the world must stop terror by providing Ukraine with modern air defense systems, such as the “Patriot“, and strengthen sanctions against Russia to weaken its missile production capacity.
A call for strength and international solidarity
Zelensky categorically stated that peace cannot be achieved with “empty talk”, but only through decisive action and force. He insisted that the world must stop Putin's “madness” and his terrorist campaign, which has been going on for more than two decades.
