A gas station on the island of Crete has announced that it will stop supplying fuel to motorcycles whose driver or passenger is not wearing a helmet.
According to local media, a gas station in Kissamos, Chania, has taken this decision after the recent death of a 16-year-old in a traffic accident.
The young man was seriously injured in a crash in the city last month and died 16 days later in the intensive care unit of the Chania hospital.
"We hope that other gas stations in our city will follow suit so that we never have to mourn victims again," the gas station said.
