Israel is not conducting direct dialogue with the "Hayat Tahrir al-Sham" group, which has taken control of parts of Syria. This is reported by The Times of Israel, citing an anonymous source, quoted by Focus.
“An Israeli official announced that Israel has not made direct contact with the group“, the newspaper says. According to him, messages to it are transmitted through intermediaries.
The source adds that if there is a threat to the safety of the Druze in Syria, the Israeli authorities will take action in the interests of their own security.
He also noted that Israel wants to see the Kurds as strong and independent. At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is discussing with Washington the developments in Syria, including the issue of the Kurds.
