The early hours of Christmas Day were marked by a serious incident in London's “West End“, in which a car hit pedestrians, reports Press Association Media/DPA, quoted by BTA.
A report of the incident was filed with the police at 00:45. Police and emergency teams responded immediately.
Injured and arrested
Four people were injured in the collision, one of them in a life-threatening condition and admitted to hospital. The driver of the car, a 31-year-old man, has been arrested by police on suspicion of attempted murder.
Circumstances surrounding the incident
According to initial information, the arrested driver was involved in a argument in a nightclub that preceded the incident.
Police say that the case is isolated and has no connection to terrorist acts.
