"Whoever is at the helm of the United States, I think it is not in America's interest for Russia to become the most powerful power in the world," Kalas stressed before a meeting of the contact group of Kiev's partners in Germany.

There are concerns that after Trump takes office, aid to Ukraine will significantly decrease and that Trump will put pressure on Kiev to agree to concessions to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that the "Rammstein" format would have to be changed if the United States withdraws from it, Reuters reported.
The "Rammstein" format includes about 50 countries, whose representatives meet every few months at the "Ramstein" air base in Germany. Meetings in this format began in 2022 at the initiative of US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.
