Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the words of the US president-elect about the possible annexation of Canada are a tactic aimed at diverting people's attention from the impact of the tariffs that Donald Trump has warned he intends to impose, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
Trudeau told CNN that if Trump carries out his intention to impose 25 percent tariffs on all imports from Canada, "everything that American consumers buy from Canada will suddenly become a lot more expensive".
