A high-level delegation from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has arrived in Beirut to carry out the necessary measures to reopen the UAE embassy in the Lebanese capital, the UAM news agency reported, quoted by BTA.
The decision to resume the diplomatic presence was taken after a conversation between the presidents of the two countries - Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Joseph Aoun.
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed satisfaction with this important diplomatic move, which symbolizes the long-standing friendly and brotherly ties between the peoples of Lebanon and the UAE. The ministry reaffirmed its unwavering support for the unity, national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon, stressing its solidarity with the Lebanese people.
In addition to the reopening of the embassy, the initiative aims to strengthen bilateral relations and demonstrate the UAE's commitment to contributing to Lebanon's stability and development. The diplomatic efforts include support for various social and economic sectors that are crucial to the well-being of Lebanese society.
