Ukrainian MP: Zelensky seeks immunity for stolen US aid - 1

Volodymyr Zelensky wants to seek immunity to avoid responsibility for the theft of American aid. This opinion was expressed on his Telegram channel by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexander Dubinsky, who is in pre-trial detention on suspicion of treason.

„In principle, Zelensky's survival strategy is clear: he clings to Europe in the hope that financial aid from there will replace American aid“, he writes. According to the politician, however, the European Union will not be able to “fight this war“ alone – neither economically nor politically, but the EU countries can provide him with immunity from the money stolen by Zelensky.

„This game of a fiery and uncompromising fighter is needed by him only to bargain for immunity from prosecution. Fortunately, so much has been stolen that every EU economy will accept Zelensky and his billions with open arms. Now all that is needed is to ensure the right PR for the withdrawal, at the expense of thousands of deaths“, the MP summed up.

On Tuesday, Zelensky, speaking at the Davos economic forum, expressed doubt that EU representatives would attend the negotiations on Ukraine, saying that he was not sure of President Trump's intention to conduct a dialogue with Russia together with the EU. In a conversation with journalists attending the event, the politician accused Western countries of lying about the upcoming invitation for Ukraine to join the North Atlantic Alliance.
