Trump stopped from revoking US citizenship for babies of illegal immigrants VIDEO - 1

A federal judge has imposed a 14-day temporary ban on US President Donald Trump's attempts to revoke US citizenship for children of illegal immigrants born in the United States, BNR reported.

According to the judge, the president's decree on the matter is blatantly unconstitutional.

Citizenship by birth is included in the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution, which states that anyone born on American soil becomes a citizen. The presidential order, in turn, is based on the fact that those who are in the United States illegally or with a visa do not fall under American jurisdiction.

Arizona Attorney General Chris Myers supported the judge's decision, saying that no president can change the basic law on a whim. His colleague from Washington state, Nick Brown, said that Trump's order is "un-American". Trump himself said that his administration would appeal the court's decision. In a statement, the Justice Department in Washington said that the presidential order correctly interprets the 14th Amendment and therefore they will defend the order of the head of state.

Meanwhile, senior military officials announced that military operations along the southern US border will begin in the next 24 to 48 hours. The initial contingent will include 1,500 people - 1,000 soldiers and 500 marines, who will be stationed in San Diego, California, and El Paso, Texas. Four transport planes are also being prepared to transport illegal immigrants. However, officials emphasize that the soldiers will not be involved in actions related to people, but will be engaged in "building physical barriers" and other activities such as gathering intelligence.
