South Korea's military said today that it suspects North Korea is preparing to send more servicemen to help Russian troops in its battles with Ukrainian forces, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
According to Seoul, Pyongyang has similar intentions despite losses and captured servicemen, the agency added.
"Four months after sending the first reinforcements, we suspect (North Korea - ed.) of taking appropriate measures to further strengthen its units (in the Russian army)", said a statement from South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff.
At the same time, the DPRK is preparing to launch a reconnaissance satellite and an intercontinental ballistic missile, the top military officials in Seoul said in a statement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said two North Korean servicemen had been captured by Ukrainian forces in Russia's Kursk region, Reuters reported. Pyongyang has sent about 11,000 troops to help the Russian army.
