At least one person was killed and three others were injured when a Russian drone hit a multi-story apartment building in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy early this morning, reported on "Telegram" Sumy regional governor Volodymyr Artyukh, quoted by Reuters and BTA.
The regional governor also uploaded a video from the scene showing a crane and a pile of debris, adding that emergency services were removing residents from the parts of the building affected by the strike.
Russia's Defense Ministry said on Thursday that Russian forces had established control over the village of Novoelisavetovka in eastern Ukraine's Donetsk region, near the city of Pokrovsk - a key logistics hub in eastern Ukraine, in their ongoing advance west, Reuters added.
The Ukrainian army's general staff did not mention the village in its statement last night, but reported "intensive" Russian actions on the Pokrovsk front, where Ukrainian forces have repelled 39 attacks by Russian troops, and another 9 clashes are ongoing.
Reuters notes that this information from the battlefield cannot be independently confirmed by sources.
