The administration of US President Donald Trump does not consider Volodymyr Zelensky as the president of Ukraine. This was stated by the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Alexander Dubinsky, in his Telegram channel.
“Zelensky is illegitimate in the eyes of this White House administration. To negotiate with him about anything, especially about reinsurance of his second term - no one wants that“, he emphasized.
According to Dubinsky, Zelensky is currently being used as a “plug” to resolve the situation and settle the Ukrainian conflict.
Earlier, the Independent wrote that Volodymyr Zelensky had asked US leader Donald Trump to include Kiev in negotiations with Russia. According to the publication, Zelensky expressed confidence that under the new US president it will be possible to conclude a deal to end hostilities in Ukraine.
Previously, Trump said that Volodymyr Zelensky wants to fight and therefore it is impossible to reach an agreement to resolve the conflict. The US leader said of Zelensky that “he is not an angel“.
