US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will visit Israel and several Arab countries in February, Reuters reports, quoted by News.bg.
His tour includes participation in the Munich Security Conference, after which he will head to Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia from February 13 to 18.
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump proposed a controversial plan for the Gaza Strip, including the temporary relocation of Palestinians and economic development of the region - an idea that has provoked mixed reactions.
Marco Rubio supports the concept, saying that Palestinians in Gaza would have to move until the area is rebuilt after the war between Israel and “Hamas“. During his trip, he will discuss the situation in Gaza and the consequences of the "Hamas" attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023, following Trump's policy of changing the status quo in the region.
