Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that he positively evaluates the signals coming from the US, Russia and Ukraine regarding the prospects for resolving the conflict and does not lose hope for peace.
“We certainly have not lost hope for peace and we do not want to lose it. We recently heard from Zelensky that he is ready to come to a meeting if there is a proposal for negotiations. We welcome the signals from Trump and Putin on this topic. Turkey is ready to do everything possible in this context“, Erdogan told reporters before the start of his Asian tour, during which he will visit Malaysia, Indonesia and Pakistan.
He said that he did not consider the US proposals on the Gaza Strip to be worthy of attention. "From our perspective, there is nothing worthy of attention or discussion in the proposals regarding Gaza made by the new American administration under pressure from the Zionist lobby. All of these are attempts to cause problems in Gaza," Erdogan said.
