New provocation from Skopje! Prime Minister Mickoski again sees no reason for the inclusion of Bulgarians in the Constit - 1

The Prime Minister of the RSM, Hristijan Mickoski, told the parliament in Skopje that he sees no reason for the inclusion of Bulgarians in the country's Constitution, BGNES reported.

According to him, only 700-800 people live in the RSM who declare themselves as Bulgarians. He wonders why the same request has not been made to the authorities in Albania, where there are nearly 8,000 people with a Bulgarian identity.

According to him, some of the people in Albania who declared themselves as Macedonians in the 2011 census have declared themselves as "Macedonians", have become victims of assimilationist policies and now claim to be Bulgarians.

In 2022, the RSM adopted the so-called "French proposal", according to which Bulgarians should be included in the constitution as a state-building element. The fulfillment of this condition depends on whether Skopje's path to membership in the European Union will be opened.
