As a result of a Russian attack on Kherson last night, 15 apartments were destroyed, the windows of 80 homes were broken, and six people were injured, including 14-year-old twins who are hospitalized. This was reported by Ukrinform, referring to a post on “Telegram“ by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, BTA reports.
The attack caused serious damage to residential buildings, with the destroyed apartments located from the first to the tenth floor. The shock wave also shattered the windows of 80 homes in the area.
Six people were injured, two of whom were rescued from the eighth and ninth floors of the badly damaged building.
“The twins, a boy and a girl, 14 years old, are in hospital. According to doctors, their condition is relatively good“, Prokudin wrote.
Another of the injured, a 47-year-old man, has also been hospitalised. He was in the guard's room in a parking lot near the impact site. According to the regional governor, the man suffered a shrapnel wound and a fractured leg. The other three injured were examined by paramedics on site.
An operational headquarters of the Kherson Regional Military Administration is located at the scene of the attack. The rescue operation continues with the participation of about 120 people and 35 pieces of equipment, including rescuers, police, doctors, utility workers, volunteers and city employees.
