Milorad Dodik, the leader of the Bosnian Serbs, is awaiting a verdict on Wednesday, which could sentence him to prison for violating the decisions of the international high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, he made serious threats that such a decision would lead to the breakup of Bosnia and Herzegovina, News.bg reports.
Dodik was accused of signing laws that annul the decisions of the Constitutional Court and international envoy Christian Schmidt. He denies the charges and warns that the verdict will lead to a political crisis, including the possible withdrawal of Republika Srpska from the country's judiciary and armed forces.
The US and British authorities have already imposed sanctions on Dodik for his actions and threats to the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
