31 children found in trafficking scheme in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Three suspects arrested  - 1

Police and social services in Bosnia and Herzegovina have uncovered 31 children who were in a house in Brcko, and according to information they all held Croatian passports, News.bg reports.

As a result of the operation, which was conducted under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office, three people were arrested on suspicion of involvement in crimes related to human and child trafficking, as well as abuse of minors.

The investigation is ongoing, and the children have been moved to a safe place, and the authorities emphasize the importance of a careful approach to the case, in order to protect the rights and interests of the children. Among the discovered children were some under the age of one. They were being cared for by a woman, who is believed to be an Italian citizen. A citizen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and his son were also arrested.

The operation was carried out in close cooperation with the Department of Social Protection and the Red Cross, with authorities assuring that every effort will be made to protect children's rights and prevent any negative consequences for them.
