US President Donald Trump said that he was joking when he called his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky a “dictator“, NOVA reported.
“Did I say that? I can't believe I said that“, he said.
Zelensky arrives in Washington today to sign an agreement on rare earth materials with the United States.
“Zelensky will come to talk on Friday morning. We will sign a really very important agreement for both sides, because it will really take us to this country. It will work. We will have a lot of people working there. So in that sense it is very good. You could say that this is a precautionary measure. I don't think anyone is going to play around with us having a lot of workers there and having a relationship with rare earths and other things that we need for our country. We appreciate it very much. And I look forward to seeing him," Trump said.
Yesterday, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer was at the White House for talks with the American president on Ukraine and defense issues. Trump said Starmer is a "special man" and the United Kingdom is a wonderful country. The British Prime Minister gave Trump a letter from King Charles inviting him to visit the Island.
