The Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergei Shoigu told Chinese President Xi Jinping today that relations between Russia and China have reached an unprecedented high level, Reuters reported, citing TASS, BTA reports.
Earlier this morning, Shoigu held a meeting in Beijing with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, after which he stressed that the strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing is not directed against other countries.
China and Russia announced their “boundless“ strategic cooperation just days before the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
“The relations between Russia and China are an example of interaction between two great countries,“ said Shoigu, emphasizing that bilateral cooperation is based on shared interests, equality and deep trust.
