Marco Rubio: Zelensky should apologize! I doubt he wants peace. Europe wants the war to continue until Russia surrenders - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky should apologize to US President Donald Trump for the dispute during the negotiations at the White House. This was stated by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in an interview with CNN.

According to him, the meeting of politicians turned into a fiasco because of the behavior of the Ukrainian leader, so he should apologize. Rubio said that Zelensky's statements about his desire for peace may not correspond to reality.

Europe is proposing to continue the conflict in Ukraine for another year in the hope of weakening Russia, the US Secretary of State said.

„I asked people what the European plan is to end the war? I can tell you what one foreign minister told me. I won't say who it was - the war will continue for another year to the point where Russia feels so weakened that it will demand peace," he said.

Rubio added that another year of conflict would lead to even more destruction and loss of life, and such a plan, according to the US, is unrealistic.

The meeting between the US president and the head of the Kiev regime was held in Washington on Friday, but ultimately turned into a quarrel. According to Fox News, the American leader kicked Zelensky out of the White House as a result of the conflict and the rare earth metals deal fell through.

Earlier, CBS News, citing high-ranking sources close to the American leader, reported that what happened in the White House raises the question of suspending further aid to Ukraine.

It was noted that after the quarrel, the Kiev authorities desperately tried to get the White House to return to discussing the deal, but to no avail, since Trump did not want to talk to Zelensky.

Donald Trump Jr., the son of the US President, mocked Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky after a quarrel in the White House. He posted a meme on his X social media page.

A photo of the talks, which shows Zelensky, Trump and US Vice President J.D. Vance, has the phrase “Where's my money?“ added near the Ukrainian leader. Trump responds with the phrase “Listen here, little la.no...“ Vance, in turn, adds: “This dwarf with his demands...“.
